The Power of Intention
I am currently reading Wayne Dyer's "The Power of Intention"... i am an instant fan. I feel he truly is a pure and sincere instrument for the dissemination of rich and wholesome spiritual principles.
there are so many things that he says that i would like to keep at the forefront of my consciousness... he quotes from various spiritual traditions...
He talks about generosity. He says if you ask the sun why it continues to give out its light and warmth it would reply that it is its nature. Likewise he argues that it is also our nature to give. He quotes Swami Sivananda on the topic of generosity. He points out we each possess each of the following things in infinite amounts:
The best thing to give your enemy is forgiveness
to an opponent, tolerance
to a friend, your heart
to your child, a good example
to your father, deference
to you mother, conduct that would make her proud of you
to yourself, respect
to all men, charity

We're looking into how to switch faculty advisors.
My mom and step-father are really into dancing, too - waltzing and Scandinavian mostly.
